Senior Manager, Audience Data (Remote)

The Senior Manager, Audience Data role sits within the YouGov Advertising Solutions team.

Advertising Solutions’ focus is to provide advertisers, and their agencies, with audiences for activation and integrate YouGov data outside the YouGov ecosystem, working with various cleanroom-, ID- and on-boarding partners, as well as agency clients, media owners and brands directly. The Senior Manager, Audience Data will be responsible for selling and servicing our existing Audience Data proposition and project managing the creation of new partnerships and integrations. The Senior Manager, Audience Data work directly with internal stakeholders and external clients and partners and manage their own workload.

The Senior Manager, Audience Data will be analytically minded, pay attention to detail, and have an understanding of data and data flows within the digital advertising eco‑system. The successful postholder will have experience and expertise in how to connect first‑party data to multiple other data sources, platforms and publishers. The Senior Manager, Audience Data will act as a consultant and adviser for internal teams on how to drive data deals that require complex solutions.

You Will

  • Sell and manage individual client projects – from smaller campaigns, data enrichments projects, and data integrations into large agency / client tech stacks
  • Manage ad tech partner relationships – be the day‑to‑day point of contact for YouGov’s audience partners (such as Eyeota, Lotame, LiveRamp etc) and be responsible for driving shared revenue
  • Contribute to the development and extension of YouGov’s Activation proposition with tech and agency partners and work with internal teams to simplify delivery processes
  • Provide data engineering teams and developers with client / partner feedback and technical requirements and work on solutions together
  • Support internal stakeholders in demonstrating the value of Activation to clients and responding to client feedback
  • Respond to clients’ audience requests and help them find the ideal audience to target for their campaign objectives
  • Showcase how Activation is the natural extension of YouGov insights and planning tools
  • Work with partners on always‑on taxonomies that best fit client’s re‑occurring needs and showcase the unique nature and depth of YouGov data
  • Set up and streamline an automated and standardised data delivery process for all partners
  • Document all processes and partner and project details
  • Receive monthly partner reports for revenue share collection, analysing audience usage and creating and sharing regular buying reports with Client Management and Sales teams
  • Support local teams with client briefs looking to enrich their first‑party with YouGov data or vice versa and demonstrate potential use cases
  • Match YouGov data with first‑party data in data clean rooms or via on‑boarding partners
  • Interpret and manipulate large volumes of data and have keen attention to detail to provide actionable insights in a client friendly way

You Have

  • Experience in data, analytics or digital analytics with a willingness to learn new tools, data analysis techniques and applied statistics
  • Understanding of the digital advising ecosystem: digital advertising landscape from either media planning and insights or buying/trading perspective
  • Working knowledge of DMPs / DSPs / other partner platforms (Xandr, LiveRamp, Google, TTD), where have direct access and operate in these platforms, as well as data clean room and ID providers in the wider mar‑tech space
  • Be able to talk technical detail with engineering and developers while then also being able to translate that into a commercial / business conversation and vice versa explain technical concepts to a non‑technical audience.
  • Ability to translate reoccurring client needs into new applications and processes optimization
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to quality check their own work to ensure that data anomalies/mistakes are caught prior to delivery to partners, clients or internal stakeholders
  • Be self‑aware, highly organised and have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment with a high standard of quality
  • Hands‑on, problem‑solving abilities – “can do” approach (so someone who is a thinker and a doer)
  • Excellent communication skills – written and spoken – able to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • The ability to listen to people and ask the right questions to find their ‘need’
  • Confidence in your abilities gained so far and a willingness to learn and adapt quickly to a fast‑paced role
  • A strong passion for data, with self‑motivation and the ability to work independently and with a team

This is a remote vacancy based in any US EST time zone; candidates must be able to work early mornings to collaborate effectively with European and UK based colleagues.

For roles (including Remote working contract) based in California, New York, Colorado, Massachusetts, or Washington State, the base salary hiring range for this position is $90,000 - $113,000 plus bonus. Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job‑related knowledge, skills and experience.

Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and additional benefits.
