Due to rapid growth and increased demand for our international privacy and technology compliance and legal services, VeraSafe is seeking an exceptional Business Development Director to help us connect with prospective clients. You will work directly with experienced attorneys worldwide to pitch and close deals. This is a fully remote position with great benefits, which are listed at the end of this job description.
About the Role
VeraSafe is seeking a client‑facing attorney who is personable, engaging, highly dependable, and meticulous. This role is not a senior sales‑strategy or sales‑leadership role. Instead, the emphasis is on:
- Conducting dynamic, credible sales calls with prospective clients
- Leveraging legal training to understand and accurately articulate our services
- Preparing highly polished written proposals
- Building warm, trust‑based relationships with prospects
- Supporting continued growth of the commercial function
This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys relationship‑building, consulting‑style conversations, and helping organizations solve privacy and cybersecurity challenges.
This is a full‑time role that offers a flexible schedule centered around our team (including you!) and our clients. While we generally center our schedules around business hours in the U.S. East Coast time zone (GMT -5), this role requires availability for at least two hours during U.S. East Coast evening hours. While this is a remote position, the small size of our sales support staff makes this role such that your consistent availability throughout each workday is very much required. The Business Development Director will be instrumental in driving VeraSafe’s sales strategies and efforts across all markets. As part of this small team, you will be a critical player in building new client relationships at our firm. This individual contributor role is focused on client‑facing sales and proposal execution.
Note: We will ask you to participate in one or more skills assessments as part of our interview and selection process.
