Role Summary and Impact

This role sits within the WPP Media UK FP&A team reporting into the FP&A Manager. The role will work closely with the rest of the FP&A team as well as the UK business.

Working as a key member of the WPP Media Finance team, the Junior Finance Analyst plays a pivotal role in producing insightful and relevant reporting for Senior Management to support key decision making.

 

You will be assisting with Forecasting and Budgeting processes, providing support to stakeholders in the business and contributing to the overall enhancement of the FP&A function. The role will also support key financial objectives that promote driving efficiencies within the team but also within the business. To be successful in this role, engagement with various parts of the business is required, often at different levels of seniority.

 

The role will have the following responsibilities:

• Streamlining forecast and budget processes with collaboration of the Finance team
• Assisting in the creation of an operating rhythm for reporting and filing
• Collecting and analysing relevant data from within the company, using existing systems
• Assisting with forecasting deliverables and ensuring timely submission
• Action any queries during Forecasting/Budgeting processes
• Ownership of Operating Cost actualising and forecasting across agencies
• Assist with Cartesis input on a quarterly basis
• Refresh Adaptive reports to support Senior Leadership reporting
• Assist with commentary submission to Group FP&A on a monthly basis
• Continuously reviewing current processes and making improvements to allow better control or improved efficiencies
• Supporting with a number of ad-hoc projects

 

Skills and Experience

 

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Organised with strong attention to detail
• Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
• Excellent analytical skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft applications.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Good interpersonal skills to work with different management levels
• Must show a proactive approach to problem solving and take initiative
• Highly numerate / mathematical skills
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to re-prioritise

 

Qualifications

• Five GCSE grades C - A* (4-9) or equivalent, including English and Maths
