Job Title: Strategic Accounts Director-Vaccines

Location: Remote/Field

The Strategic Accounts Director will lead a team of Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) responsible for developing and executing value‑aligned vaccine programming for large regional health systems, state awardees, and PBGs across the US. The role requires supporting and leading through an organization transformation into a true B2B partner, identifying and bringing novel and innovative solutions into account planning and selling. The Director will coach talent to develop new ways to win, build capabilities, articulate needs internally, and deliver on growth strategies across all brands.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Strategic Account Managers focused on winning through new and innovative B2B levers.
  • Support and drive an organization B2B transformation focused on value co‑creation, integrating HIT strategies and solutions, co‑solutioning, Quality and Health Equity initiatives, and new financial contracting levers.
  • Coach talent who critically think about new ways to win and lead them to execution.
  • Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture with transparency and creative solutioning.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and market growth strategies, co‑creating value with customers.
  • Ensure strong cadence of collaboration with field‑facing and internal cross‑functional teams, inviting them into strategy development with clear accountability.
  • Integrate HIT strategy into account planning and execution, collaborating with HIT & Data Strategists to optimize solutions for the market.
  • Support SAMs in strategizing resources for contracting, HEOR, and reimbursement when requested by customers.
  • Oversee strategic deployment within revenue cycle for health systems, aligning contracting, HECON, outcomes data, and reimbursement to their objectives.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor performance metrics, mitigate risks, and develop growth strategies.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with SAMs, providing constructive feedback.
  • Help prepare SAMs for executive briefings to senior leadership on account and market performance.
  • Proactively deliver business reviews to account management leadership, informing on market insights and opportunities.
  • Engage executive level within Health Systems, managing and growing trust‑based relationships to generate revenue.
  • Identify and qualify high‑value opportunities, developing growth strategies with executive relationships.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years related experience in life sciences industry and/or B2B sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years leading account management teams in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience leading B2B teams and identifying customer solutions.
  • Experience inspiring teams to think and work innovatively.
  • Proven track record of leading and coaching sales teams in complex customers.
  • Broad understanding of health system business, decision‑making processes, and market trends, with access to C‑suite to D‑suite decision makers.
  • Experience assessing, valuing, and proposing investment strategies that drive growth.
  • Proven ability to translate health system market knowledge into strategic plans.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
  • Capability to execute tactical initiatives, provide feedback, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Self‑directed, organized, with excellent execution and planning skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a shifting environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, eligible for insurance, and must safely operate a vehicle.

Minimum Preferred Skills & Experience

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Experience with Health Information Technology customer‑facing teams.
  • Experience integrating HIT strategy within large health systems.
  • Strong data analytics skills.
  • Experience in vaccines.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and customer‑management databases.
  • Experience leading teams with demonstrated internal stakeholder impact.
  • Experience transforming customer‑facing and internal organizations.

Travel

Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to customers, conventions, training, and other internal meetings.
