Director, Principal Development (Remote)

Reports to: US Managing Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Responsibilities

  • Operational and strategic business leadership: Serve as key member of the Azelis US CASE leadership team and primary liaison between the company and its strategic principals to define and execute growth strategies. Advocate for assigned principals within Azelis CASE and ensure seamless communication across all functions.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, analyze opportunities and develop strategies for accelerated business growth within the CASE market segment; collaborate with the Technical Development Management (TDM) to align pipeline development goals.
  • Supply Issues/Allocation Decisions: Address supply‑related challenges at principals in partnership with supply chain and commercial functions; support Sales VPs in optimizing resource utilization during official allocation situations.
  • Communication and Action Plans: Communicate effectively with CASE Managing Director, Vice Presidents of Sales, TDM, BDM, Marketing, Pricing/Business Analysts, and R&D teams to develop and implement action plans that achieve business objectives.
  • Marketing Strategy Development: Create marketing strategies for assigned principal products within the CASE segment, ensuring effective promotion, market penetration and alignment with VP growth initiatives.
  • Technical Project Management: Collaborate with principals, TDM and Lab teams to oversee technical projects, set milestones and deadlines, and deliver successful implementations that meet client requirements.
  • Forecasting Accuracy: Ensure accurate monthly forecasting for principals and utilize data to inform decision‑making and planning; keep Sales and Supply Chain teams aligned.
  • Sales and Growth Opportunity Reviews: Conduct detailed reviews of sales and growth opportunities, identify improvement areas and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Setting CASE & Principal Specific Annual Goals: Establish measurable, achievable yearly goals for the CASE segment, pursue continuous improvement and communicate goals to all relevant groups.
  • Supplier set‑up and onboarding: Manage the complete supplier set‑up, onboarding and, if necessary, off‑boarding process in coordination with CASE and corporate functions to ensure readiness for all business transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Management, Business Development, Sales & Sales Management, Product Management or Strategic Marketing, preferably within the CASE industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Exemplary business acumen with deep strategic awareness and ability to drive decisions at a P&L level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building and maintaining relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Technical acumen and understanding of CASE‑related products and applications.
  • Results‑driven mindset focused on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
  • Proficiency in market research, data analysis and forecasting tools.

Travel

Travel is an essential component of this role and may account for 30‑50 % of work time. The successful candidate must be able to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed, including overnight and weekend travel.
