ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as an Operations Director. This is a Full-time position based in London. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across for Consumer Devices & Services

The Role is across CDS, the Consumer Devices and Services business which include LOBs such as the innovative new broadband launch, Leo, and includes Alexa, Kindle, Fire, Ring and others. It’s growing significantly, with high profile lines of business for Amazon, and provides a huge growth opportunity for Open Door. CDS operates with a real start-up mentality and there is strong platform for innovation and acceleration. This is a growing team, and this role will help shape what operational excellence looks like for CDS and building effective and efficient ways of working for this complex business. This role will be managing an Operations exec.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Runs triage & Status and manages brief flow and project prioritisation
  • Builds a project pipeline and ensures all projects are captured in trackers & status maintained for quick reference
  • Collaborates with client to understand their deadlines and annual planning and marketing rhythm to determine WPP response times and project cadence – including building out of comprehensive WBS (work back schedules) and timeline documents.
  • Supports teams in securing resources in the right places
  • Manages the day-to-day workload and completion of business tasks across the Operations team (writing and circulating processes, ensuring data is captured from the agency in a timely manner).
  • Working alongside the Operations Lead to deliver sufficient documentation and process for the agency
  • Escalation point of contact for internal stakeholders
  • Collaboration and relationship building with internal and external counterparts (Tech, Buying, Planning, Finance and Media Owners) to ensure all plans are implemented efficiently and on time
  • Owning monthly finance process with our credit controller and ironing out process as well as reporting back with improvements
  • Operational system developments and migrations
  • Support team morale across the agency, deliverables, workload balancing and development
  • Working collaboratively to find solutions for agile working and instill best ways of working across the agency and EMEA

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A strong media background, with a good understanding of media agency functions
  • Evidence of operational experience and project management
  • Must be very results-orientated and able to manage up
  • Competent in Excel and project management tools and data analysis (experience in Smartsheets and Power BI would be welcomed)
  • A change agent and influencer
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • A good people networker who is comfortable leading conversations with senior teams.
