We have an exciting opportunity for a high‑impact Plant Controller who thrives on solving problems, leading change, and elevating performance. This role is for a true business partner, someone who brings energy, ownership, and a relentless drive to win while building a best‑in‑class finance function.

Position Title: Controller - Plant
Reports to: Director of Finance
Location: Maplewood - Holland, MI

As a key strategic partner to the Plant Manager, you will lead all plant accounting and controllership activities, including oversight of A/P and A/R, while driving financial performance, operational excellence, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:

• Act as a trusted advisor to plant leadership, delivering clear, actionable financial insights that drive fact‑based decisions
• Own plant financial performance—proactively managing results, identifying risks and opportunities, and executing corrective actions to consistently meet or exceed profit and cash flow targets
• Lead initiatives that improve profitability and asset efficiency (e.g., make vs. buy, margin optimization, cost reduction) with a hands‑on, results‑driven approach
• Deliver timely, accurate reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis that enables decisive action and continuous improvement
• Build, coach, and inspire a high‑performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and development
• Lead the annual planning and budgeting process, ensuring realistic, data‑driven plans supported by clear actions and contingency strategies
• Ensure GAAP compliance, strong internal controls, and disciplined financial processes with zero tolerance for gaps
• Develop and maintain accurate standard costing, enabling deep visibility into cost drivers and operational performance
• Optimize working capital (A/R, A/P, inventory) to exceed cash flow objectives

What You Are Required To Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA/CMA preferred)
• 5‑7 years of proven Plant Controller experience within manufacturing
• Track record of outperforming financial targets and driving measurable business impact
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action and influence decisions at all levels
• High energy, resilience, and a “get it done” mentality—able to prioritize, execute, and deliver in a fast‑paced environment
• Courage to challenge the status quo, make tough calls, and lead change with confidence and professionalism
• Exceptional integrity, accountability, and commitment to doing what’s right
