We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our remote team and take ownership of building and scaling data solutions using Databricks on AWS. This is a hands‑on senior IC role with strong influence on architecture and implementation.
What You’ll Do

- Build pipelines from scratch, not just maintain existing ones
- Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions and data engineering best practices
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong, hands‑on experience with Python, SQL (advanced), PySpark, Databricks (production experience required) and AWS
- Proven experience designing and building end-to-end data pipelines
- Solid understanding of distributed data processing and data modeling
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
Location
This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.
Benefits
- Flexible working hours in a remote environment
- Health insurance (medical and dental) for W2 Employees
- 401K Contribution
- A professional development fund to enhance your skills and knowledge
- 15 days of paid time off annually
- Access to soft-skill development courses to further your career
This is a full‑time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
At Lumenalta, we are committed to creating an environment that prioritizes growth, work‑life balance, and the diverse needs of our team members.
This is an evergreen opening with no set deadline; we’re always excited to connect with professionals who want to help us build the future.
